• Answer and manage incoming calls from patients, providing information and assistance as needed.
• Handle Leave of Absence (LOA) requests and other office paperwork efficiently and accurately.
• Assist in the organization and maintenance of patient records by scanning and faxing documents.
• Collaborate with the Patient Access team to ensure seamless patient interactions and accurate record-keeping.
• Adhere to strict confidentiality protocols when handling patient information and records to ensure privacy and compliance with relevant regulations.
• Recognize and escalate complex or urgent patient issues to appropriate medical personnel or supervisors for timely resolution.
• Handle appointment rescheduling or cancellations, accommodating patient preferences while considering clinic availability.
• Keep detailed and accurate records of each patient interaction, documenting the nature of the call, the assistance provided, and any actions taken.
To be a star volunteer:
• Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance communication skills, customer service techniques, and knowledge of relevant healthcare regulations.
• Provide remote support when necessary, such as assisting patients with using online patient portals, scheduling virtual appointments, or troubleshooting technical issues.
